Located in the eastern waters of the South China Sea, China's first deep water gas field group has exported more than 50 billion cubic meters of natural gas, benefiting 10 cities, more than 100 large and medium-sized enterprises and more than 80 million people in the Great Bay area of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, and helping Guangdong build a low-carbon, safe and efficient modern energy system.
It is estimated that 50 billion cubic meters of natural gas can replace about 67 million tons of coal, reduce 71 million tons of carbon dioxide and 1.1 million tons of sulfur dioxide, which is equivalent to planting nearly 700 million big trees, with significant green environmental benefits.
At present, the oil fields in the east of the South China Sea are continuously strengthening the development of deep-sea natural gas resources, looking for large and medium-sized natural gas fields, promoting the intelligent transformation of oil and gas production, implementing the "typhoon production mode" of gas fields, and building a modern green energy base.
